Summary

This study tests whether using ultrasound or infrared light helps place an IV line on the first try in people with hard-to-find veins. About 249 adults getting a CT scan will be randomly assigned to one of three methods: standard technique, ultrasound guidance, or infrared illumination. The goal is to reduce pain, anxiety, and complications from multiple needle sticks.
