First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study compares two high-tech methods (ultrasound and infrared light) with the standard approach for placing a small tube in a vein (IV) in people whose veins are hard to find or see. About 264 adults getting a CT scan will take part. The goal is to see which method works best on the first try, reducing pain and discomfort.
