Wrist injection could make heart procedures less painful and safer

Summary
This study is testing if a small injection of nitroglycerin into the wrist can make it easier for doctors to access the radial artery for heart procedures like angiograms. The goal is to reduce the number of needle sticks, lower the chance of artery spasms, and prevent the need to switch to a groin artery access. About 1,400 adults scheduled for a heart procedure will receive either the nitroglycerin mixture or a placebo injection.
