Simple injection could make epidurals quicker and less frustrating for moms in labor

NCT ID NCT07327918

Summary

This study is testing if a simple injection through the epidural needle before placing the pain-relief catheter makes the process easier and more likely to work on the first try. It involves 216 women in active labor who are requesting an epidural. The goal is to improve the success rate of placing the catheter, which could lead to faster pain relief and a better experience for the mother.
