Radiation may replace surgery for elderly breast cancer patients in new trial

Summary
This study tests a precise, high-dose radiation technique called SBRT as an alternative to surgery for breast cancer in elderly or frail patients who cannot have or refuse surgery. The goal is to find the safest highest dose that can control the tumor. About 36 participants aged 70 and older will be enrolled to see if this approach is feasible and safe.
