Ear stimulation device tested for Parkinson's symptom relief

NCT ID NCT07400731

Summary

This study is testing a wearable device called EarStim that delivers gentle electrical stimulation to the ear. It aims to see if this can safely provide temporary relief from movement symptoms in adults with moderate to severe Parkinson's disease who experience 'wearing-off' periods on their regular medication. The research will compare the device's effects to a sham (fake) treatment in a clinic and then monitor its use at home over 90 days.
