Can simple earplugs protect your heart from traffic noise?
NCT ID NCT07148817
Summary
This study is testing if wearing earplugs can help protect heart health in people regularly exposed to loud traffic, plane, or train noise. Researchers will enroll 26 adults with heart disease risk factors who are bothered by noise. Participants will be randomly assigned to use earplugs for six months or not, and doctors will use brain and blood vessel scans to see if earplugs reduce stress signals linked to heart disease.
