Can simple earplugs protect your heart from traffic noise?
NCT ID NCT07148817
Summary
This study is testing whether wearing earplugs for six months can reduce the harmful effects of traffic noise on heart health. Researchers will enroll 26 adults who are bothered by noise and have risk factors for heart disease. They will use brain and blood vessel scans to see if earplugs lower stress signals and inflammation linked to heart problems.
