Race against time: early Blood-Cleansing treatment tested to save sight and mobility

Summary
This study is testing whether starting a blood-filtering treatment called plasma exchange early, versus waiting to see if it's needed later, leads to better recovery for people with severe eye nerve or spinal cord inflammation. It will enroll 382 adults who have recently developed severe vision loss or significant mobility problems. The goal is to find the best timing for this treatment to help people regain vision and reduce long-term disability.
