First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether giving the blood thinner tirofiban soon after standard clot-busting medication helps people recover better from a stroke. About 1,084 adults with moderate stroke symptoms will receive either tirofiban or a placebo within 6 hours of the initial treatment. The main goal is to see if more patients achieve excellent functional outcomes (able to do daily activities without help) at 90 days.
