Race against time: can early steroids save more lives from sepsis shock?

NCT ID NCT06217939

Summary

This study is testing if giving steroid medication right away is better than waiting when a severe infection causes dangerously low blood pressure (septic shock). About 230 adult patients will be randomly assigned to receive either the early steroid treatment or a placebo, with neither patients nor doctors knowing which one is given. The main goal is to see if the early treatment leads to more people surviving after 28 days and helps control the shock faster.
