First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 19, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study aimed to see if a drug called riociguat could help people with early-stage pulmonary vascular disease, a condition that can lead to high blood pressure in the lungs. It involved 35 adults with connective tissue diseases like scleroderma who had mildly elevated lung pressures but were not yet on specific treatment. Participants were randomly assigned to receive either the drug or a placebo for 24 weeks to measure effects on blood flow resistance in the lungs. The trial was terminated early, and its status is listed as 'terminated'.
