New program aims to slash critical wait time for psychosis care
NCT ID NCT05813457
Summary
This study is testing whether a new early identification program can reduce the time it takes for people experiencing their first psychotic episode to get specialized psychiatric care. The program works by educating the public and frontline workers (like doctors and teachers) about psychosis signs and improving connections to mental health services. Researchers will measure if this approach shortens the treatment delay and improves how patients engage with their care.
