Race against time: new program aims to slash critical delays in psychosis care
NCT ID NCT05813457
Summary
This study is testing a new program designed to help people experiencing their first psychotic episode get specialized psychiatric care much sooner. It aims to see if educating the public and training frontline workers like doctors and teachers to spot early signs can reduce the long wait for treatment, which in France averages 18 months. Getting care faster is linked to much better long-term health outcomes for people with these serious conditions.
