Summary

This study will enroll 5,000 adults having elective heart surgery to develop a way to predict acute kidney injury (AKI) early. Researchers will collect medical data and blood/urine samples before, during, and after surgery, then follow patients for up to 2 years. The goal is to create a warning system that helps doctors identify high-risk patients sooner and personalize care.
