New pain block may help chest trauma patients breathe on their own sooner

Summary
This study tests whether giving a specific type of pain block (erector spinae plane block) early after a severe chest injury can reduce the number of days a patient needs a breathing machine. The trial will include 400 adults with three or more broken ribs from blunt chest trauma. The goal is to see if this early pain control helps patients recover faster and avoid complications.
