Pap test DNA may spot ovarian cancer years early

NCT ID NCT07556562

First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks at whether DNA from a routine Pap test can find early signs of ovarian cancer in women with a high genetic risk. Researchers will compare DNA from Pap smears with tissue samples taken during preventive surgery. If successful, this could lead to a simple screening test to catch ovarian cancer earlier and save lives.
