First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at whether early osteopathic treatment can prevent flat spots on babies' heads (positional plagiocephaly and brachycephaly). About 100 newborns at risk were randomly assigned to receive either osteopathic sessions plus standard advice or just standard advice. The goal was to see if the treatment reduced skull deformities at 4 months old.
