Coffee and a walk: surprising new recipe for C-Section recovery?

NCT ID NCT07369726

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether getting women up and walking early after a C-section, plus drinking caffeinated Turkish coffee, can improve bowel function, reduce pain, and boost mood. Sixty women who had a planned C-section under spinal anesthesia will be randomly assigned to either early mobilization (at 4 hours) with caffeinated coffee, or later mobilization (at 6 hours) with decaf. The goal is to find a simple, drug-free way to help new mothers feel better faster.

What this could lead to
If it works, this simple routine could help new mothers recover more comfortably after C-section.
