First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looked at whether teaching parents of very preterm infants to do gentle massage and stimulation at home can improve their baby's brain development. About 138 babies were split into two groups: one received standard care, and the other had extra parent-led activities. The goal was to see if these early interventions lead to better motor, language, and thinking skills by 18 months of age.
