Can early parent training unlock lifelong language skills for deaf children?

NCT ID NCT07205484

Summary

This study is checking if a special 6-month parent coaching program given to families of deaf or hard-of-hearing toddlers has lasting benefits years later. Researchers are following 88 children into early elementary school to see if those whose parents received the coaching have better language, reading, and social skills. They are comparing these children to a group whose families received standard care to find out if the early support makes a long-term difference.
