Scientists test new mRNA shots in quest for HIV vaccine

Summary

This is an early-stage safety study testing two experimental mRNA vaccines designed to train the immune system against HIV. The trial will enroll 53 healthy adults without HIV to check if the vaccines are safe and can trigger an immune response. This is a first-in-human study, meaning it's the first time these specific vaccines are being tested in people.
