Emergency room heart drug trial aims to help frail seniors
NCT ID NCT07392788
Summary
This study is checking if it's practical to start a specific heart failure medicine (called a gliflozin) very early, right in the emergency room, for patients aged 75 and older who are hospitalized for a worsening of their condition. It will compare this early start plus a nurse phone call to usual care. The main goal is to see if this new approach can be smoothly organized and accepted by patients and hospitals.
