New scans aim to spot silent heart damage in cancer survivors

NCT ID NCT04790266

Summary

This study aimed to find better ways to detect early heart damage caused by breast cancer treatments like chemotherapy and radiation. Researchers followed 150 patients for up to 10 years, using special heart scans and blood tests to look for early warning signs. The goal was to learn if these new tests can predict heart problems before they cause symptoms, allowing for earlier intervention.
