Summary

This study looks at whether starting intensive day hospital treatment early for teenagers (ages 12-18) with anorexia nervosa can improve their health and reduce serious events like hospital stays. It compares this approach to standard outpatient care. The study also examines how the treatment affects the family's experience and coping skills. About 164 teens and their parents will take part.
