Simple scan could predict deadly stroke complication
NCT ID NCT07321275
Summary
This study looked at whether chest CT scans taken within 24 hours of a stroke could help predict which patients might develop pneumonia, a serious complication. Researchers analyzed data from nearly 1,500 stroke patients across multiple hospitals to create a prediction model. The goal is to help doctors identify high-risk patients who might benefit from preventive antibiotics.
