Mobile unit hunts for hidden lung disease in smokers
NCT ID NCT06008145
Summary
This study is testing a new community-based approach to find Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) earlier in people at high risk. Researchers are using a mobile unit to offer breathing tests to smokers and ex-smokers who recently had a lung CT scan, aiming to catch COPD before significant lung damage occurs. The study also explores what helps or prevents people from attending these community check-ups.
