Summary
This study tested whether starting simple mental exercises within the first day of ICU admission could prevent or reduce delirium in critically ill patients. Researchers worked with 130 adult patients who were awake enough to participate. The exercises included orientation reminders, memory tasks, and attention activities, often delivered by nurses or family members.
