New stroke study: can a Pre-Procedure shot boost recovery?
NCT ID NCT07002476
Summary
This study is testing if giving a powerful cholesterol-lowering injection (a PCSK9 inhibitor) right before a standard stroke removal procedure leads to better recovery. It will involve 652 adults in China who are having a procedure to clear a major brain blood clot. The main goal is to see if patients who get the early treatment are more likely to regain independence 90 days later compared to those who get standard care.
