Heart attack breakthrough? new shot aims to stop second cardiac events

NCT ID NCT07290699

Summary

This study is testing if giving a cholesterol-lowering injection (recaticimab) within 24 hours of a heart attack, along with standard pills, works better than pills alone. It will involve over 2,400 recent heart attack patients and follow them for a year. The main goal is to see if the early, stronger treatment prevents future major heart problems like another heart attack, stroke, or death.
