Blood test trial aims to catch returning breast cancer months earlier
NCT ID NCT07478705
Summary
This study is testing whether a new blood test can detect if triple-negative breast cancer is returning earlier than current standard scans. Thirty patients who have finished initial treatment will be randomly assigned to receive either standard follow-up care or standard care plus the new blood test. The main goal is to see if this type of monitoring study is practical to run, which could lead to a larger future trial to see if finding recurrence earlier helps patients live longer.
