Scientists hunt for early warning signs of devastating nerve disease

NCT ID NCT07213440

Summary

This study aims to find biological markers that could help doctors diagnose ALS much earlier, before major symptoms appear. Researchers will compare blood, urine, and spinal fluid from 60 people, including those with a genetic risk but no symptoms, early ALS patients, and healthy volunteers. The goal is to create a molecular 'fingerprint' that could lead to earlier detection and better future treatments.
