Pig tissue vs. Patient's own tissue: which heals ear surgery better?

NCT ID NCT03902938

Summary

This study aimed to compare healing after a major ear surgery called a canal wall down mastoidectomy. It planned to randomly assign adult patients to receive either a graft made from pig intestine tissue or a graft made from their own tissue. The main goal was to see which graft helped the surgical cavity heal and become dry faster.
