Zapping the ear to stop Kids' vomiting episodes?
NCT ID NCT07465614
Summary
This study is testing a non-drug treatment for children with cyclic vomiting syndrome (CVS), a condition causing severe, repeated vomiting attacks. Researchers want to see if a small, wearable device that gently stimulates nerves in the ear can reduce how often, how long, and how severe these vomiting episodes are. About 120 children, aged 5 to 18, will be randomly assigned to use either the real device or a look-alike 'sham' device for five weeks to compare the effects.
