Ear zapper tested to stop debilitating vomiting episodes

NCT ID NCT03434652

Summary

This small pilot study tested whether a non-invasive device that stimulates nerves in the ear could help people with cyclic vomiting syndrome (CVS). CVS causes severe, recurring episodes of nausea, vomiting, and pain. Researchers compared the effects of the real stimulator to a fake one to see if it could reduce symptoms and improve quality of life during and between vomiting cycles.
