Gentle ear zaps tested to wake Brain-Injured patients
NCT ID NCT07284732
Summary
This study is testing whether gentle electrical stimulation of nerves in the ear can help patients with severe brain injuries regain consciousness. Twenty patients in a vegetative or minimally conscious state will receive this non-invasive stimulation twice daily for 10 days. Researchers will measure changes in awareness and brain activity to see if this approach shows promise for recovery.
