Zap your ear, sharpen your mind? veterans test new brain injury therapy

NCT ID NCT06723743

Summary

This study is testing if a gentle, non-invasive electrical stimulation delivered to the ear can improve attention and memory in veterans with traumatic brain injuries (TBI). Thirty participants will try both a real and a fake (placebo) stimulation session to see if the real treatment helps them perform better on computer attention tasks. The goal is to find a new, side-effect-free option for common thinking problems after brain injury.
