Zapping the ear to understand pain: a First-of-its-Kind study

NCT ID NCT07184190

Summary

This small, completed study aimed to understand if gently stimulating nerves in the ear can change how the body processes pain. Researchers tested two types of mild electrical stimulation on 12 healthy volunteers to see their immediate effects on pain sensitivity. The goal was to gather basic knowledge to see if this approach could be useful for future pain management research.
