Gel tested to boost success of eardrum hole surgeries
NCT ID NCT07233226
Summary
This study tested if adding a gel called hyaluronic acid during surgery to patch a hole in the eardrum leads to better results. It involved 60 adults with a complete eardrum hole. Researchers compared the standard surgery to the same surgery with the added gel, looking at how well the patch held, hearing improvement, and any complications.
