Ear pins tested to ease Post-Surgery stomach paralysis
NCT ID NCT06580197
Summary
This study is testing whether ear acupuncture can help patients recover normal stomach function after major abdominal surgeries like Whipple procedures or partial stomach removal. Researchers will observe 159 patients aged 40-70 to see if the therapy reduces symptoms like nausea, fullness, and pain, and improves sleep and anxiety. The goal is to see if this traditional technique can be a useful tool for managing common and uncomfortable post-surgery complications.
