Nurses test ear needles to calm BPD distress

NCT ID NCT07476300

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether a brief ear acupuncture program, given by trained nurses, is a practical addition to standard hospital care for adults with borderline personality disorder (BPD). Fifteen hospitalized patients will receive five acupuncture sessions over nine days. The main goal is to see if patients can complete the sessions and if the treatment might help with emotional control, anxiety, and sleep.
