First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This small pilot study will test whether a nurse-led ear acupuncture program is practical and helpful for adults hospitalized with borderline personality disorder. Fifteen participants will receive five ear acupuncture sessions over nine days, alongside their usual care. Researchers will check if patients attend the sessions and if they see improvements in emotional control, anxiety, and sleep. The goal is to see if this approach is worth testing in a larger study.
