Summary
This study tested a mobile app called MommyCheckup to see if it helps pregnant women who drink alcohol reduce their drinking. The app provides a brief intervention and some women also received extra text messages or booster sessions. The goal was to prevent alcohol-related harm to the baby, such as Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders. The study involved 384 pregnant women from three states.
