Can a simple phone call ease the pain of waiting for biopsy results?
NCT ID NCT04456920
Summary
This study tested whether using e-health tools could help patients better manage pain and anxiety after a breast biopsy. Researchers compared standard follow-up care to two new approaches: regular phone check-ins with a professional or using a smartphone/tablet app to report symptoms. The goal was to see if these extra connections could improve comfort and reduce distress during the stressful waiting period for results.
