Can vaping be safer? massive study probes E-Cigarettes for diabetic smokers
NCT ID NCT07414355
Summary
This large study looked at whether switching from regular cigarettes to e-cigarettes leads to better health outcomes for adults newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Researchers analyzed health records of over 133,000 people to compare risks of heart attacks, strokes, and diabetes complications between those who switched and those who kept smoking. The goal was to understand if e-cigarettes offer a real harm-reduction benefit for this high-risk group.
