Pill aims to help smokers kick cigarettes for e-cigs
NCT ID NCT05994703
Summary
This study tested whether a medication called d-cycloserine could help smokers switch completely from regular cigarettes to a Juul e-cigarette. Researchers worked with 25 adult smokers who wanted to make this switch, using the medication alongside a behavioral strategy. The main goal was to see if participants could stop smoking cigarettes entirely, verified by breath tests and self-reports.
