Summary

This early-phase study tests whether special cells from human umbilical veins are safe to use during surgery for simple anal fistulas. The cells are placed in the fistula tract after a standard fistulotomy to help healing. The study involves 39 adults and focuses on short-term safety and whether the fistula comes back within 6 months.
