New drug trial targets debilitating muscle disease
NCT ID NCT05481879
Summary
This study is testing an investigational drug called DYNE-101 for adults with myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1), a genetic disorder that causes progressive muscle weakness and stiffness. The main goals are to see if the drug is safe and if it can improve muscle function and reduce stiffness. Participants will receive the drug or a placebo via IV infusion over several months while researchers measure changes in their symptoms and physical abilities.
