New imaging technique may sharpen prostate cancer detection

NCT ID NCT06450548

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a special type of PET/CT scan (called dynamic imaging) can find prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of the body more accurately than standard scans. About 60 men with advanced prostate cancer that no longer responds to hormone therapy will get two types of PET/CT scans before starting a targeted radiation treatment. The goal is to improve how doctors decide on the best treatment for each patient.
