First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a questionnaire called the Duruöz Hand Index (DHI) is a good tool for measuring hand function in children with obstetric brachial plexus palsy, a nerve injury at birth that affects arm and hand movement. Researchers tested 21 children aged 6 to 18 using the DHI along with other standard tests. The goal was to see if the DHI can accurately capture how well children use both hands together in daily activities.
