First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study compares a new heart valve, DurAVR®, designed to work more like a natural valve, to standard TAVR valves in 1650 people with severe aortic stenosis. Participants are randomly assigned to get the new valve or a standard one and are followed for up to 10 years. The goal is to see if the new valve is safer and works better at reducing death, stroke, and heart-related hospital stays.
